Louise has achieved wonders for my daughter. She was in a pretty dark place before we met Louise and we had tried many different avenues. Louise has helped my daughter to overcome huge challenges around anxiety and self-harm and given her skills and resilience that she will have throughout her life. Louise, where to begin, she is the most inspiring, patient, strong willed, caring person I know. In the beginning she was the help I didn’t think I needed or wanted as I had not realised how low I was.

Louise helped me through trauma and incredibly off of the antidepressants I was on when I met her. She has given me the methods to cope and prevent panic attacks that were gradually stealing more and more of my time in school.

Louise has also helped me out of awful habits of releasing my emotion into harm into my body and I can proudly say today I’m 550 days clean.

When I first met Louise I refused to show emotion she taught me to cry. When I first met Louise I refused to talk she gave me a voice. She has walked me through the darkest of times and I am a consistent reflection of how far I have come and I will be forever grateful for that. I can truly say she holds and forever will hold a special place in my heart.

I am 12 and going to Louise’s for counselling sessions on a weekly basis it has really helped me to have the confidence in myself and to understand my feelings and emotions.

After feeling miserable and experiencing depression, anxiety and hopelessness on and off for most of my adult life I decided that I had to make a change. I did not know what that change was, but I knew I needed help in identifying what the problems were and how to overcome them.

Louise was always totally professional, compassionate and had total belief in me. She took plenty of time to really assess the issues and get to understand the problems. She has totally changed my life. My self-worth was rock bottom, but now I love myself. My hope for the future was very dismal, but now I can’t wait for the amazing path my life will lead me on. My confidence was shattered, but now is strong. Louise has taught me strategies to help me understand and control my emotions, that I can now apply independently. 

Louise has an amazing ability to understand people and emotions, and I have no doubt in recommending her as a counsellor to anyone. I cannot thank her enough for saving me.

Our family found Louise via a personal recommendation about two years ago. My daughter was self harming and CAMHS and a private psychiatrist had made little difference. Due to severe panic attacks, she was spending less and less time at school. We felt totally helpless, fearful for the future and didn’t know where to turn.  Louise heard this in my wobbly voice on the phone and met my daughter a few days later.

Louise has picked us all up and put our lives back together with expertise, warmth, love and care. She was the first person to truly understand and know exactly how to help, not just because of training or qualifications but also real life experience. What she has achieved for our daughter in particular is simply unbelievable, magical even. 

She has also given me the support, challenge and strength to change my life too, in particular walking away after 20 years at a firm to start a new adventure and valuing myself as a good parent instead of being my own harsh critic. She has also helped countless friends who have needed her kindness, help and support. If only everyone could have a ‘Louise’ in their lives.
